Dimensions: 2 ½ inches tall, 4 inches wide, weighs 163 grams. Description: Small redware rattle pedestal bowl with applied decorations around the rim. Four incised groups decorate the base. No repairs or restorations found. Abrasions & wear consistent with age. Overall outstanding condition. Manganese Dioxide Reactivity Test Results: A solution of laboratory grade 40% hydrogen peroxide was applied to multiple manganese blooms that resulted in a strong chemical reaction indicating approximately 1500 years of underground burial. Provenance: Ex. Pilar Muniz de Camahort, collected in Costa Rica in the 1950’s. Acquired by John McIntosh, MSE, MBA of Ancient Artifacts & Treasures, Winter Park, Florida in 2010. Consigned to The Artifact City Collection in 2025.
